Let's Recap!!

Stay Woke

Coming to church does not make you saved, just like standing in a garage does not make you a car.

You have to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and live for Him. You cannot practice sin and practice Christianity.

When you know your purpose you don't have time for drama.

I Peter 4:1-4 - But the [Holy] Spirit explicitly and unmistakably declares that in later times some will turn away from the faith, paying attention instead to deceitful and seductive spirits and doctrines of demons, [misled] by the hypocrisy of liars whose consciences are seared as with a branding iron [leaving them incapable of ethical functioning], who forbid marriage and advocate abstaining from [certain kinds of] foods which God has created to be gratefully shared by those who believe and have [a clear] knowledge of the truth. For everything God has created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with gratitude.

II Peter 4:1-4 - I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom: preach the word [as an official messenger]; be ready when the time is right and even when it is not [keep your sense of urgency, whether the opportunity seems favorable or unfavorable, whether convenient or inconvenient, whether welcome or unwelcome]; correct [those who err in doctrine or behavior], warn [those who sin], exhort and encourage [those who are growing toward spiritual maturity], with inexhaustible patience and [faithful] teaching. For the time will come when people will not tolerate sound doctrine and accurate instruction [that challenges them with God’s truth]; but wanting to have their ears tickled [with something pleasing], they will accumulate for themselves [many] teachers [one after another, chosen] to satisfy their own desires and to support the errors they hold, and will turn their ears away from the truth and will wander off into myths and man-made fictions [and will accept the unacceptable].You’ll be posting loads of engaging content, so be sure to keep your blog organized with Categories that also allow visitors to explore more of what interests them.

Let Dive in deeper

Deceiving spirits refer to demonic spirits or angelic beings who have rebelled against God and seek to deceive men. They seek to deceive men and women and to entice them away from the truth.

This doctrine of demons speaks of specific teaching of these deceiving spirits. Demons are theology majors and have a system of doctrine.

We find the first demonic doctrine in Genesis Chapter 3. Satan, talking through a serpent, taught Eve, "Girl you ain't going to die, for God knows on the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened and you will be like God."

Since then, every demonic doctrine has found its way back to this root; the idea that we can be our own gods and live independently from God.

That is a grave mistake because apart from God you can't and you will be nothing. Everything you have, God gave it to you. So you cannot act as if you are Mr. or Ms. Independant.

If it happened in the Garden of Eden, how much so do you think the doctrine of demons will begin to increase more and more and people will start falling away from the faith as the return of Jesus draws closer and closer in these latter times.

I can watch church online. That is fine but does not the Bible say in Hebrews to fail not to assemble. You have to come into the house to fellowship amongst the saints.

Paul is telling Timothy that in the last day you will have these trickster preachers up in here preaching false doctrine and if you are not privy in the Holy Ghost to what is really going on, you will be deceived.

Paul said their conscience, which would have once convicted them of their departure from the truth, now doesn't reply at all. Their conscience is void; they have no fear of God anymore.

So we have five-fold ministry gifts infiltrating the church because you do not have the sense to read your own Bible and to get an understanding and ask the Holy Spirit to decipher if what the preacher is saying is true. You take everything the preacher says as gold and you don't go back home and study it for yourself. That is how you have these Jim Jones and cults that form out of a church because you do not go and study for yourself.

There is a group of people in the Bible called the Bereans. They heard, they listened, and went back and studied what the preachers were saying.

The Holy Ghost should let you know when something is off from a preacher.

They will be speaking lies in hypocrisy. This describes those who depart from the faith and most certainly describes those who willingly embrace falsehood to justify their sin. You use scriptures to support your sin. "Well, I can masturbate because the word masturbation is not in the Bible. The word shacking is not in the Bible so I can shack. But does not the Bible say don't use your bodies as tools for wickedness? So if I am masturbating, I am using my members as tools of wickedness.

They will dress up lies as the Bible and because you do not know the Bible and spend time praying in the Holy Ghost to see if somebody is off, you are easily seduced.

They will want to have their ears tickled with something pleasing. So you will go sit up in a church that will tickle your ears and preach lies because you don't want to face the fact that you jacked up and that you have childhood anger that has not been dealt with and you popping off on your kids.

Timothy needed to keep his focus on the Word of God because man by his natural tendencies does not want God's truth. Naturally, our flesh does not want the truth; we want someone to tickle our fancy and we want preachers to preach what we like to hear, not what we need to hear. So man's natural inclination is to do what he wants to do. As the Bible says in the book of Judges, they did what was right in their own eyes. That is what we have going on in the body of Christ and the world today, we are doing what we think is right. But the Bible says there is a way that seems right, but in the end, it leads to destruction.

Seducing of the Flesh

Usually, when we think about the seduction of the flesh, we think about the lust of the body. Carnality and people who are addicted to drinking, drugs, pornography, and stuff like that. Preachers have preached against soap operas and dirty movies.

Saints look at dirty movies and wonder why you cannot stop lusting. You are not protecting your eye gate.

We have quite correctly labeled those things under the heading of the lust of the flesh. However, the principle of the lusts of the flesh not only means sexual desire or other lusts contained in the flesh, but it can also mean the emotions of the flesh.

People base their relationship with God and with others on how they feel. They often operate with God on the basis of whether they feel saved or not. They pray on the basis of whether they feel in distress or not.

They pick up their Bibles only after they have their world crash down around them. Being ignorant of the Word of God they complain because the Word does not immediately open to their solution. Then they have demon-inspired anger against God because He, they say, did not solve their problem.

People act in devilish seduction in their emotion with God just like spoiled little kids do with their parents.

We treat God like a gimme, gimme, gimme.

I don't feel like reading my Word today. I don't feel like praying today. I don't feel like coming to church. What if God treated us like we treated him based on feelings? What if He did not feel like waking you up this morning? What if He did not feel like letting you get on that job today and they close the doors on your job as soon as you walk in? What if He felt like doing everything we do to Him?

So we are being seduced in our emotions how we treat God.

Then they say, "God you don't love me because you didn't give me what I want." If God gave you everything you wanted you would probably be dead because He can see further than we can.

You wanted that man, but if God had let you have that man, that man would have beaten you upside your head and killed your fool self, if He had let you have the man you really wanted. Yes, he looks good but you don't know he is hell at home. All you are doing is looking at your outer package and listening to his words, but you don't know his character. And God is saving you from something deadly.

Or that woman you want, she is pretty, she's a dime piece, but she didn't tell you everything about her is fake.

If God gave us everything we wanted, we would be most miserable because He knows everything we need.

The Bible says He will supply all your needs, not your wants. Everything you need has already been provided for.

If God gave us everything we wanted, would we have a relationship with Him? But sometimes He will give you what you want just to show that is not what you need.

Devilish seduction after the flesh is why we have skyrocketing divorce today because you base a marriage on how you feel.

"I don't feel like he loves me." "I don't feel like she loves me anymore."

You have to remember your feelings are like a roller coaster.

"I don't feel like he loves me." Have you talked with him; have you spent time with him?

Whatever you did to get her or him, is what you have to do to keep them.

You cannot base everything on how you feel, especially your relationships with God and with man.

People base their marriages on what they feel rather than what they have committed to.

That is the problem with the church, we have commitment issues. You aren't committed to anything. That is why people can walk away from the faith. You want God to just bless you. You don't want Him to prune you. He is going to prune you; He is going to cut you. He is going to shape you and when He does it is not going to be comfortable. He does this so you can produce more.

When God starts pruning you, "I just don't feel God anymore. Maybe it is the church I am at. I don't think it takes all this type of preaching. I am feeling condemned." Good! God is challenging you in certain areas of your life that you need to change.

People are divorced because they fell out of love. If you can fall in love you can fall out of love. Take that out of your vocabulary; it is not falling in love, I choose to love you.

Fall in love and something triggers you, you fall out of love. That is why some people are in third, fourth, and fifth marriages.

Love is not an emotion, it is a choice.

We ignore God, we break His commandments, we violate His precepts, we discard His Word, fail to reflect His love to others.

How you feel about me is really a reflection of how you feel about yourself. If you have low self-esteem, you project that onto somebody that you don't like because they are a reflection of who you are.

What is God saying today? Stay out of your emotions. Don't be ruled by your emotions.
